Do I need to bring any props or equipment?We have everything you need for your practice onsite. Some clients like to bring their own yoga mat.

Is there parking?Yes, we have our own free surface parking available while you're in class. Lot access is off 2nd Ave (one-way street going south from Chatham). Parking spots are marked for the "Nikka Building". No need to worry about finding a spot in Steveston before class.

How big is your studio?Our practice space is over 2000 square feet with lots of natural light. We have a maximum number of clients per class of 15 so that everyone can practice comfortably.

Where is your studio located and can it be seen from the street?Our studio is on the 2nd floor of the Steveston HUB Co-op at 3551 Moncton Street, Steveston. Known as the NIKKA building, it's at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Moncton in Steveston Village. The space is shared with other providers. In the evening, 'twinkle' lights make it visible from the street. We're present during scheduled class times. Contact us via email or phone, and leave a voicemail for a callback.

Why is the studio called "8th Element"? What does it mean?Oxygen is the 8th element in the periodic table. Breathwork is an integral component of yoga and is the bridge between the body and mind. Our studio name honours the importance and simplicity of our breath to sustain and nourish our whole being.

Can I try a class or two before committing to a membership?Yes, you're welcome to book a class at the drop-in rate of $25. We have a range of class passes and monthly memberships to choose from when you decide to make us your yoga home.
