Our Services

We offer a variety of class style types to suit every need.

Gentle Hatha

Slower-paced practice, with less intense positions, use of props for support and shorter hold times reducing strain on muscles and joints. Positions can be standing or seated with slower transitions between positions and a focus on low intensity stretching. This class can also focus more on breath work, relaxation and meditation depending on the instructor.

Intensity level: Very Low to low-moderate depending on the participant’s mobility and modifications. Participants should be able to get up and down from their mat with minimal assistance.

Hatha

Hatha is derived from “Ha” meaning sun (warm) and “Tha” meaning moon (cool).  Yoga means to "unite".  Hatha Yoga focuses on stretching positions (Asana) combined with breath and concentration to “unite” the mind and body. In the west, Hatha focuses on a range of standing or seated static poses to stretch or strengthen the body and uses breath to focus the mind. Hatha yoga can be easily modified for beginners or advanced clients depending on the intensity of the positions and props used.

Intensity Level: Low to High depending on the participant’s mobility, use of props and modifications desired. Participants should be able to get up and down from their mat easily.

Gentle Yin

This class focuses on deeper stretching of the body including fascia, tendons and ligaments, using a range of props to support various positions. Stretches are held for several minutes to allow the body to release.

Intensity Level: Moderate to High depending on how many props are used. Clients should be able to get down on the floor.

IMPORTANT: Yin Yoga is not recommended right after active movement such as running or Flow Yoga classes, etc.  or for those with hypermobility, acute joint injuries, or in active recovery from surgeries. Please consult with your health care provider if you have any questions or concerns about the appropriateness of this class for your body and health goals.

Mobility Flow

This grounding practice will incorporate intentional standing postures to improve your balance and range of motion followed by deep stretching that will leave you feeling energized and mobile.

Hatha Flow

This all level class incorporates more movement with breath and less time holding stretches than a Hatha class. The pace can be slow to moderate as participants move from one position to the next using their breath, but not as fast-paced as a Vinyasa class. Some clients consider it very relaxing, moving mediation, and is great for those who find holding a position for long periods of time challenging.

Intensity Level: Low to High depending on the participant’s mobility and modifications used.  Participants should be able to get up and down from their mat easily.

Barre, Core & Lift

Low impact, moderate intensity cardio using light weights and interval training inspired by ballet, yoga and pilates to unblock energy channels. Class starts with mindful meditation and ballet-inspired warm up to activate glutes and core. Each class includes 2-3 low impact cardio bursts and 1-2 light weight segments to keep the heart rate up and the energy of the midline of the body is flowing.  With the target being the core, pelvic floor and hip mobility maintenance, it's nice to finish class with deep stretches and moving meditation.

Restorative

This class focuses on deep relaxation not stretching. The class is very slow paced and uses a lot of props to remove any tension or strain from the physical body. In addition to long held supported positions, gentle breathwork, guided meditation and silence is offered. This class relieves physical discomforts, stress or anxiety and can help restore wellness through deep rest.

Intensity Level: Very low. Clients should be able to get down on the floor.

Unity in Motion: Vinyasa Flow
